Fundraisers Receive Red Carpet Treatment |

Limo Receives Police Escort |
Morning commutes took unprecedented
and thrilling turns down country lanes and borough
streets for a few little fundraisers at Mifflinburg
Elementary School: Kindergartener Alexander Reed,
First Grader Lexi Stover, Second Grader Denise Seebold
and Third Grader Kali Shuck all experienced limo rides
-- with their parents and breakfast – to school on March
14, 2008. They received a “red carpet” reception at the
entrance, with school administrators -- including
Superintendent Dr. Barry Tomasetti -- as well as
teachers, students and parent’s association members to
greet and congratulate them. The "Elementary excitement"
was in recognition of these students having raised the
most money per their grade level as
part of the Mifflinburg Elementary Home and
School Association (HSA) one annual fundraiser a year,
called the "Spell-A-Thon." Over $19,000 was raised
thanks to the tremendous generosity of students'

and friends. Never before has this
much monetary support been realized at this
school in one year. The HSA Officers
and Fundraising Committee publicly
acknowledged all who assisted in this worthy
endeavor at their regular meeting, including
Executive Car and Limousine Service of
Lewisburg, who considerately donated the car
and driver for this special highlight.
The HSA also shared this success would not
have been possible without the support of
teachers and staff as well and the special
encouragement of Head Teacher Paul Reeder.
